This is not surprising. You elect a man who is not interested in details and who knows next to nothing about foreign policy and he is vulnerable to manipulation. Particularly when he surrounds himself with folks like rumsfeld, who I think is a snake. Interesting remarks about Powell. The pentagon has become a snake pit.


Frankly, I don't think Bush is that naive and I don't think the guy quoted in the article believes he is either. Bush's father and members of his cabinet have been warning Bush jr. for months that he's traveling down a slippery slope. That notwithstanding, Bush usually falls on the side of Rummie.

Bush is a neocon in the same way Wolfowitz and Rummie are. That's why I think he's really dangerous as president.
