They're really interesting little critters that eat a lot of bugs.

When I was a kid we had a neighbor who was one of the best women trap shooters in the world. Her husband built a trap range in their back yard and they opened it to the public on Wednesday evenings. Along about dark bats would show up over the range and a few people tried to shoot them. Not a one was ever hit. Their radar would pick up the shot coming at them and they were able to dodge out of the way.
