The Jewish vote is not as important as Jewish money or media control, but it is important. Most Jews live in big states like New York, Florida, and California with a large number of electoral votes. Thus their voting pattern carries considerably more weight in Presidential elections than their 2% proportion of the population suggests. And this applies double in close elections
