Sanyo WCDMA phone from J-Phone

Seybold recently hinted that H3G was also using a Q chipped wcdma phone. Since NEC has been doing wcdma phones for eons, I thought he must of been referring to the wcdma/gsm phone from Motorola. However, the FCC filings for the phone show no Qualcomm labeled chips and what may well be the UMTS chip is emblazened with a Motorola logo. Peculiar that Motorola is making a wcdma chip and has given up making a 1x chip.

The A830 and A920 can be found on the FCC web site under IHDT56CD1 and IHDT56CN1. Given similar internal pictures (with shields), both seem to have the same RF components. The IHDT56CD1 has pictures of the chips without shields.

While I'm posting FCC stuff, the PTT phone that Motorola has destined for Verzion can also be found in the FCC database under IHDT56DC1. The user manual (supplement) shows that it's destined for Verizon (Beta 2 software testing of Winphoria PTT server on their Express Network, ie a 1x phone).
