This is classic, "Nixon in China." What John and the rest that think like him here said Sharon could never do. Had to have a "Dove." Sharon was a villain.

Whoa, let's slow this train down a moment. Sharon has done nothing substantively. Who knows what this means at the moment. It may mean nothing; it may mean the Sharon folk will give the Pals a Bantustan arrangement; it may mean more. But we are about as far from the Nixon-China scenario as one can get.

The next thing you are going to tell me is that Bush says there is democracy in Iraq so we are pulling out. Just as yesterday he said there were wmds in Iraq because his folk found the questionable mobile stuff. Pretty limp.
