I do agree with what you say. But right now with every passing day the US is very hard pressed to restore normalcy in Iraq. I mean at least provide the basic amenities. A failure to do so would cause the Iraqis to surmise that they were better off under Saddam. Remember my friend, food comes before freedom at least in many countries and Iraq is one of them. Even here we had the famous slogan in 1992: "It is the economy stupid." That was so true that the nation did not want Clinton impeached just because the economy was so good under him.
