Its possible that their concern for the Iraqi people was authentic but because that's an emotion or feeling rather than a fact like Opeteron can run 64 bit software, then their treatment of that issue helps determine its authenticity.

If its authentic its authentic, its their treatment of the issue and your interpretation of that treatment that helps determine your opinion of its authenticity.

Authenticity is determined only in part by the person making the claim. Others ultimately determine if the authenticity is real especially where there are no facts to back it up. That's the current situation we see unfolding where the world is questioning the claim made by Bush and Blair that Iraq had WMD.

That abrupt change of tactics showed that the administration was doing nothing more than trying to manipulate the Amer. public.......rotating issues until it found the one that did the trick.

They where trying to sell the public on the idea (which BTW wasn't that unpopular to being with) that's the way democracy works.

Selling product or a concept to people is a form of manipulation. And before they pushed the WMD issue, less than 50% were willing to go to war without the backing of the UN. This war was not popular with the people........war never is.

And selling a concept is not the way a democracy is supposed to work........not a good one in any case. Unfortunately, its been a while since we've been a good democracy.
