The the point is getting both parties to get beyond the perceived "crimes" and find a solution We know the solution. The solution involves two democratic states with a stake in peace, neither of which can be headed by an old terrorist telling young children that they should kill themselves for the sake of the armed struggle. Why are the Palestinians incapable of killing Arafat? My only answer is, because the ones with the guns support him. As for your questions about Israel, they are all some variant of "when did you stop beating your wife?" ie "were any of the illegal settlements there before 1967?" To answer them as asked is to admit guilt.
