Greater fool theory? I think you are right, at least to some extent. After all, it didn't matter that I thought prices were insane in the latter half of the 90's, if I'd bailed any earlier then I wouldn't be able to enjoy all this free time to post to SI. However, sentiment is based, in the end, on substance. We hope. Or at least the rational part of me wishes were true. Sooner or later the chickens come home to roost. So if I were to say "when it comes to the end result, management's use of capital is germane but not a sole determinant" would you agree? I'll sleep easier if the answer is yes :) John
