The UN knew they had these weapons as Iraq declared them - and several countries had information since they sold them weapons. The problem was one of accounting for the disposition, sold, buried, used, destroyed?

I'm sure Saddam had none, he just wanted to get invaded on principle! ;-)

Some in the UN were just tired of the lies and delays in accounting for them as they feared the weapons would be used against them.

Appears Bush is mending fences in Europe, stocks are up again and a real chance for middle east peace is being pursued.
