The data are pathetic.

You and I both know how incredibly improbable these results are. If this was an election we'd conclude that it was fixed. Even if they can get FDA approval for the noncolorectal indication, the clinical significance of the efficacy is poor. Length of stay for placebo patients was 14.3 days, for 0.5 mg was 12.4 days, for 1 mg was 14.6 days. So why use the drug? ICU days = 3.7 for placebo, 3.3 for treated group. I do not think that clinicians, or insurance companies will pay much for this product. Even the mortality differences are not very impressive. Insurance companies will say that, at $2000 per course of therapy, the medicaiton is not cost-effective. I am sorry to say that I think that selling at 6 1/2 is a good idea. I have sold my stock and put it into DepoTech (DEPO).

The oncologic advisory committee of the FDA has their next meeting on September 18. The agenda has not been announced. There is a good chance that they will be assessing depocyt. These Phase III data are really exciting. The drug is being fast-tracked, with full approval expected in December of this year. If they don't assess depocyt in September, they surely will in their December meeting.

I think there is a much better return on DepoTech at $13 1/2 than ABTI at 6 1/2
