Countries simply don't give other countries a vote on how they will act.

The technological and cultural effects aren't even from our government. The only way our government could give other governments a vote is if it greatly restricted the freedom of Americans.

The military and security issues are something where the best other countries or groups can hope for is that we consider their input. (and after consideration, accept it, partially accept it, negotiate or deny it).
