George Washington a terrorist? Balderdash! You are speaking of the Sullivan Campaign against the various Iroquois tribes who sided with the Brits during the Revolutionary War - not all did. The ones who did massacred a lot of frontiersmen, women and children - look up Wyoming Massacre and Cherry Valley Massacre. Then look up Sullivan Campaign. Washington ordered General Sullivan to destroy farm land and villages and take captives, he didn't order the murder of innocents.

The Iroquois, however, were a culture that knew how to massacre - sparing no one, not even infants. But I don't know any historian who would call the Iroquois "terrorists." They didn't kill people to make a political statement, they killed them to get rid of them. Massacre, not terrorism.

The difference isn't semantics. I strongly suggest that you take the time to learn the definition of terrorist - despite the fact that people pretend it is meaningless, it has a fairly well defined meaning.
