If you know software, then that is probably where you will have your investing "edge". Have you invested in any software-related stocks? It's amazing how many people end up investing in what they don't understand. Like a doctor investing in gold mining and oil exploration, when he should be more knowledgable in medical, pharmaceuticals and biotech, and be using that knowledge to his benefit when investing.
