Having done any number of net worth statements for myself and for lots of others, I can tell you that most people fall into two groups. One group only looks at the asset side and discounts the liability side, the other group looks only at what they owe and forgets to look at what they have (need proxac). Its very few who do an honest assessment and look at what they have, minus what they owe and see it as the real net worth.
