I favor a mixed economy. According to the data (from you website you site): Between 1991 and 2001, Sweden's Per Capita GDP fell significantly.

Let's also not forget that Sweden was neutral during WWII, and therefore undamaged from the conflict (in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if their economy grew during WWII - while other European countries decreased) - allowing them to be competitive (post war) despite their socialism.
