No objective person, speaking objectively, capable of objective thought, says that terrorism is what the bad guys do and when we do it it's not terrorism. You're making that up. Or else you are incapable of objective thought.

You know, CB, I've waited all my life to meet a so-called "objective" person. Finally did so. And then, guess what, that "objective person" turned out to be mean spirited.

That argument tactic is so old it's beyond ancient and about as effective. Paint yourself as the "objective" one and the other as the "subjective" one.

As for this one:

Words have objective meanings. Their definitions are not subjective.

you have the wrong question. The meanings of words are neither; words are simply communication tools and their meanings are the freight they carry in acts of communication. What I think you are trying to say is that everyone else agrees with you, and no one with me. So you are objective, meaning you share the group view; and I am subjective, meaning I don't. If it makes you feel better to think that, I'm cool with it.

But if you decide to read much about the uses of the term "terrorist" you will discover that it's highly political and the small consensus you think you find on FADG, just disappears.
