In light of recent news, I'm waiting to see one of my favorite recent disconnects in logic emerge: specifically, where Martha Stewart and insider trading are concerned.

What I found interesting the last time around was that while an overwhelming portion of individuals expressed the sentiment that insider trading was a horrendous 'crime,' a certain portion of those individuals thought that Martha Stewart was being targeted because she's a woman.

Of course, I think that insider trading is no crime at all, and if it is one, it's essentially victimless. But, I think that the law being what it is, a criminal prosecution certainly seems in line with what is provided for thereunder.

Well, 'Zounds; I sometimes find myself looking across a divide at the rest of the pack. Politically, it comes with a lot less pain than it does in professional undertakings.

:-)
