Altera ups revenue guidance to high end of range Tuesday June 3, 4:56 pm ET
SAN FRANCISCO, June 3 (Reuters) - Altera Corp. (NasdaqNM:ALTR - News), a maker of programmable semiconductors on Tuesday raised its guidance for the second-quarter to the high end of its previously given range, and now expects revenue to rise 3 percent to 4 percent from the prior quarter. Altera, a maker of programmable semiconductors, had previously said it expected second-quarter revenue to be $197 million to $205.3 million, or for 1 percent to 4 percent sequential revenue growth.
Altera, based in San Jose, California, cited expanding demand for its newest products, the Stratix and Cyclone family of chips.
Analysts, on average, were expecting Altera to post second-quarter revenue of $200.3 million and earnings per share of 9 cents, excluding items, according to Reuters Research. |
