Can you explain why Saddam worked so hard to convince the UN he was hiding something? Hell, he probably could've gotten sanctions lifted and been a hero, or at least strengthened his hold on power, if he had let the inspectors stay in '98 and showed that he had destroyed all the stuff they reported he had. Was he just suicidal? Was this all some complex game to get overthrown and then return in triumph after embarrassing the US? Perhaps one of you twisted thinkers can explain it to me.
