Overthrowing a brutal dictatorship is the prerequisite for democratization, whoever does it. In the Second World War, many countries could not liberate themselves, and relied on the United States, so "conquest for democracy" is not without precedent. As for respecting elections, they did. Bush won according playing by the rules. According to the rules, if the state legislature wanted to terminate the contest phase in order to take advantage of the safe harbor date, it had to be deferred to. Since the Florida Supreme Court had botched its decision, and could not correct the matter and hold another recount in time, there was no further recount. Blame the Florida Supreme Court.......
