I guess I won't get to short SYQT today after all. My order on the internet was rejected, since I can only access my cash and margin accounts and not my short account.

I called a broker to place the order via phone. I was told that it isn't shortable. I told her that a broker earlier told me that there were shares available to short. She put me on hold.

When she came back, she told me that I *CAN* short it and that shares are available, but that it requires a $5 per share margin. I told her fine--I'm 60% cash right now anyway. She put me on hold to place the order.

Then she comes back and says that any stock under 4 1/8 needs "special" margin approval to short, so THAT order was rejected, too.

Sigh... Maybe the report will be good and SYQT will go over 4 1/8 tomorrow. <G>

Still a bearish bystander, ;)
