<<<The Democrats, with a few exceptions seem to remain spineless. I'm disgusted with Tom Dashle's inept leadership right now.>>>

Prior to 9/11 I would probably have bet you at even money that Daschle would be our next President. For some reason, it was like he ceased to exist politically after he got his anthrax letter in the mail.

Graham looks like a sheep in wolf's clothing as far as I can tell. I wouldn't trust him as far as I can throw a bus, but would consider it a plus if his position forces him into doing something meaningful. Byrd might be one of the good guys, or at least his feet seem to go in the same direction as his mouth. It's hard saying how everything will play out, but I doubt any of these guys will do the right thing without a ton of pressure at their backs. We'll see.

As far as the media is concerned, the media bears the majority of the responsibility for destroying America. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to get religion. You'll get a few mavericks willing to buck the spin, but the main stream isn't interested in telling the whole story. That isn't what they consider their jobs to be. If it doesn't sell tampons and new cars, it isn't news.
