If she had been a man, this would not have happened. I don't agree with that. Women are getting to be like blacks: any you bust one of them for anything, you're a sexist/racist. OTOH, I do agree she has been singled out. A DA saw an opportunity to make some REALLY BIG headlines- -nationwide, even! And wham! Something that ordinarily would be settled with no action or a slap on the wrist ends up with a criminal indictment. But Martha did everything she could to attract attention to herself prior to this. That set this situation up, not her gender. OK. Maybe she made $200K she shouldn't have. How does that compare to the amount stolen through fraudulent earnings reports from other CEOs? Where were the federal investigation and the indictments for the price fixing during the CA energy crisis? The amount stolen there makes her look like a kid who got caught with her hand in the cookie jar. And essentially nothing has happened.
