I'd be first but someone else got there ahead of me. I am in line, although I am not sure what for. In Egypt folks jump in line almost anytime they see one. It usually means government freebees are being distributed. Whenever a boat docks from the West, free cheese or grain or something is unloaded for distribution to us poor folk. So one day I see this line and I jumped right in. A couple of hours passed and the line never moved. A lot of people lined up. This line probably went for several blocks. I was real close to the front, I could see the front guy leaning against a telephone pole.
So, one guy, way in the back asks the one in front of him, "Whats this line for anyway?" The question got passed all the way down to me, so I reached over and tapped the guy in the lead and asked him, "Hey bud, what's this line for?" He said, "beats me, I just stopped here to catch a little nap." So, I asked if he was going to move on now. He said, "Are you kidding, and give up my spot at the front?" |
