Some SI biofreaks did what they could to talk management out of buying Eligix. A group of us visited the company in Spring 2001 for an update, and to argue against the purchase before it closed. I found this comment from about that time. I remember others, but I can't find them......

When XenoMune was spun out, it left BioTransplant without a project that had commercial viability. Eligix was brought in to support, in essence, an experimental protocol, AlloMune.

Square peg, round hole. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

One good thing..... guess Eligix is now in the realm of SI's own Richard Reeves and coworkers??
