Well, I'm definitely cracked because I can't remember how to find my ip address!

Type ipconfig from a dos prompt.

Alternately on my xphome system, click on MyNetwork places (left side of split screen of MyComputer), then View network connections (left side again). Then from the right side click on your network card. Mine says Local Area Connection. Under the details tab, back on the left side again, the ip address will be displayed.

Hard to describe, easy to do.
