Carl, with the exception of one or two Ba'athist strongholds like Faluja, it has been widely reported that the guerillas are Syrians, Uday's fedayeen. The vast majority of the Iraqis hate their guts and are unlikely to give them refuge.

I'm so tired of commentators pulling out their Vietnam or Algeria handbooks and pretending that they know with authority that everything must be the same this time. Situations differ.
