Iraqi reparations will be postponed indefinitely, or at least until we leave. All of Iraq's oil wealth will be spent on Iraq for the foreseeable future. At roughly $1000 per person per year it can buy a lot of goodwill, provided it's spread around fairly. It's that latter part that worries me, knowing the mentality of the crowd that controls the pumps.
