Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "Carl, with the exception of one or two Ba'athist strongholds like Faluja, it has been widely reported that the guerillas are Syrians, Uday's fedayeen."

Are those the same "wide reporters" that said that there were vast piles of WMDs in Iraq that we would easily find within days of occupying the country? The ones that the UN weapons inspectors couldn't find because the UN was secretly allied with Saddam? Or are those the guys who said that the Iraqis would be cheering us madly? The guys who said that Iraq's social infrastructure could be taken over by topping the government, but making no problems for most of the average Iraqis? Are those the guys who said that Al Qaeda was dead? How about that the ones that said that hundreds of thousands of Iraqi soldiers would surrender and that we'd have problems just keeping them fed? Were they the guys who said that humanitarian relief would be flowing into Basra within days of the war?

I just want to know exactly where your source of information is because it should be clear to all that there has been a lot of rose colored glasses wearing on the part of the people who pulled for this war.

Re: "The vast majority of the Iraqis hate their guts and are unlikely to give them refuge."

If the vast majority of Iraqis do not give refuge to the guerilla fighters, then the fighting should ramp down soon. Give me a date. Or is this another observation from the people who thought that there were huge piles of WMDs in Iraq?
