I suspect the number of Americans who think Saddam Hussein bombed the WTC would be in the high 90% range rather than the current, and still ridiculous, 60%.
What's ridiculous is asserting that "60%" of Americans think that "Saddam Hussein" attacked the WTC.
Rather, I'm inclined to take the less simplistic approach that some Americans - as well as some completely nonscientific polls - believe that the Iraqi Ba'athist regime, lead until his desposition by Hussein, offered material help and support to terror groups in the recent past, possibly contributing to their capability to carry out attacks of the type we saw on 9/11. That, in fact, is hardly debatable.
I'm also certain that very few Americans believe that there were Iraqis on board the four hijacked aircraft, though that allegation has been made repeatedly on this thread.
Now; respecting truth, logic, and credibility of research by not resorting to unsubstantiated conspiracy theory websites, blogs (the electronic equivalent of diaries), or other internet graffiti: can you show a statistically sound survey or poll concluding that "60%" of Americans believe that "Saddam Hussein" (or Iraq, for that matter) orchestrated the WTC attack?
Or that Americans widely believe that Iraqis were among the 19 hijackers?
