What I dread is the notion (being promulgated fast and furious from Foggy Bottom) is that we now have to "give" Abbas something for nothing to "support" him, while he gives empty promises that no one expects him to fulfill because he's "helpless". And thus another round of Palestinian victimhood is enabled.

Isn't it amazing that the real contest is "Bush vs State?" Roosevelt used to send personal emissaries overseas because he could not get State to do what he wanted. They are really a "Rogue Government" in Foggy Bottom.
