The difference is that the Americans never conquered Baghdad. The city is still controlled by Iraqis, except for a few buildings. The Iraqis in control of Baghdad are commonly called "looters". And we haven't disarmed them. They're running around with all kinds of stuff.

Yeah, except for a few thousand American troops running the show, the ruling regime having totally collapsed and disappeared like a puff of smoke. That's called "conquest." I tell you because you seem confused about the nature of the word.

As for the looters, they were let run around for a couple of weeks, but they are being disarmed now.

I wasn't going to reply to you anymore, but these desperate claims that so long as there is the least disorder anywhere in Baghdad we haven't conquered the city are so lame I had to reply. Any disorder (and it's improving day by day), and we haven't really conquered the city. If there was no disorder in Baghdad, you'd be predicting an imminent revolution against what was obviously authoritarian rule every bit as bad as Saddam's.

You're a hoot.
