Is Israel willing to negotiate a cease-fire with Hamas? If I am not mistaken, when Hamas made ceasefire overtures some months ago Israel responded by killing a few more Hamas members. I think it's better under the circumstances for both sides to stop attacking and see what happens. Attacking Hamas right after the Aqaba talks, was a sure way to kill Abbas' chances to negotiate a ceasefire and thwart the roadmap.
