Cold boot? As in Big Red Switch? (Does anybody remember the Big Red Switch?)

No remote power control and serial multiplexor? No service processors in the servers? (Didn't I see somewhere that the SI hardware is IBM boxes? They all have service processors that can reboot, let you see power-on console output, get into the BIOS, etc., though only over a serial line unless you get the options Remote Supervisor Adapter - then you can do it over TCP/IP.
