Euros should know better: seventy years ago, they indulged in a similar hatemongering against the Jews... In the 1920s and 1930s, Jewish financiers were the scapegoats for all of Europe's miseries. Somehow, Jewish bankers were branded as financial terrorists of sorts whose wheeling and dealing were deemed harmful to French/German/Italian/... business. Likewise, a single cognomen epitomized the Jews' economic bane: Rothschild. The Rothschild spell was similar to today's Bin laden curse... Every large merger or acquisition involving banks, insurances, railroads, steelmakers,... every bond issue by a European government was purported to be yet another Rothschild scheme... Hyperinflation in Germany, mass unemployment, bankruptcies, the Roaring Twenties as a whole, were the outcome of the Rothschilds' cunning!
