Keeping in mind our declared war on terror, the intent here is to brand the Hamas in the eyes of the world as terrorists if they go ahead as they have said and continue their attacks. I believe the Israelis have agreed not to respond to those attacks (they may as well not respond as their citizens will have already suffered the damage). The Arab Nations may continue to slant the news so the Hamas appear to be the good guys, but thats normal and not what counts What counts is the opinion of the United Nations members as to which side violates or impedes the road map. Having thoroughly demonstrated that the Hamas ( or others) are the ones initiating the violence, the West can then decide what the next step should be -starting with words or negotiations, but possibly ending in some physical action like finishing the wall or even a military strike. Watching the terrorists take on Iraeli may have been a relief valve for the general Arab hatred of America. Will they drop support of Hamas (and Arafat) ? I think they may sacrifice the Hamas, holding other groups in reserve. We may have to skin one leg of the cat at a time, which takes time. You will have to ask the Pentagon just how we or they will eliminate the Hamas Sig@!sacrificialgoat.com
