Sorona/Plastics-I think a point that is not in fully appreciated yet, and will be yielding royalties soon, is the royalty money Genencor will get from Dupont on Sorona. This will be a growth business in it's infancy, and Genencor share of royalties will keep increasing. The interesting part could be Eastman who owns a large part of GCOR. Will they want to start making a bio-degradable line for their huge PET business? Will they want the rest?

Key points-
DuPont anticipates commercialization of the biobased product in 2003.

"The development and production of biobased materials like Sorona® will be a big part of DuPont's future. In fact, our goal by 2010 is to make 25 percent of our products using renewable materials," said Ellen J. Kullman, group vice president and general manager for DuPont. "We believe that our partnership with Genencor to develop a key ingredient in our new Sorona® polymer and fiber is a significant step toward that goal."
