> Another casuality of the death of Day trading?

I been playing with that one in my mind for a while now. And i think if the market continue to rise the traders just come back. I been playing with whether we in a stealth like summer rally and all the traders who aren't dead or trying to go short at the first sign of hope. Guys spewing out numbers like Nasdaq 1600 is the high for the year. and louis Ruckiser (sp) saying this is the time to get back in the market. Well. i don't konw about long term because i just slanted to the bear side like i guess a lot of people. But i wondering if the brokers and the market makers are dead with the advent of the decimalization trading. and i wondering about who is making all the big block trades when they happen. And yah. I'm extremely out of sinc with this market on a day to day basis. Can't seem to really pull my head out sometimes. Weekly basis charts tho (intermediate term) telling me up up up and away and to plow my money in to the best technology surviving companies i can find and put my head down and throw away the trading password. But that's pretty hard to do. Cause after all now they even change the ability to use the funds from trading profits until the funds clear. Who is going to be able to acurately track that and why they going to put you on 90 day time out if you trade with some profit that hasn't cleared yet. Where is that money really? Does it not exist yet? Does it take that long for that electronic check to clear? Maybe they have to walk those stock certificates back from one brokerage house to another. This is the horse and buggy days after all. Sorry Don. Rant not directed at you. :P
