I would add foreign government bonds to your list of things to consider in this market. Countries like Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Norway could be considerations because of their natural resources.

I started accumulating the Oppenheimer Real Asset Fund. This Fund is expensive to own, but they directly invest in commodity futures which is hard to find in a managed fund.
