Trufflette,

-OFF TOPIC-

Re. Would you care to share your thoughts on a hedging strategy for core positions -

Basically, 75% of my equity assets are in 5 core stocks: INTC/INTCW, CSCO, MSFT, CCO, LU, and hedging for those long positons are done with 99/00 LEAPS calls, buy and sell. Since I have posted numerous times on this subject, it would be quicker to click on my name and find these posts if you are interested. The most recent one--in some details--was a post to Sadim Glik on the Microsoft thread; there were also others in the CSCO, Intel and LU threads where I frequently visited.

With regards to the small cap issues, I would take profit if anticipating a major correction.

Regards,
Ibexx

PS: In 1987, our assets were managed by a private asset management firm in NY. No appreciable loss that I could remember around X'mas time of that year.
