if you load the entire CD to the hard drive, can you make the program look for it there? Yes. With the size of most hard drives today space isn't a problem. I always copy the cd to a folder named xxx(for ex. Office2000 Professional) within a folder that I named named Downloads and install from there by clicking on the setup.exe file. (after reading the "readme" file of course) Then if I ever have to access the cd again I have all the files on the hard drive, not fumbling around trying to find the disk. can you make the program look for it there? yes, if the program doesn't automatically know where the files are you can browse to them.
