I actually sort of liked "The Pledge". At least, it was different.

The film I remembered is "As Good As It Gets" - I could not suffer past the first half hour, and I was on a plane across the Atlantic while watching it, so it was not as if I had myriad options for a better time :-)

Personally, I like "feel twisted" movies much better than "feel good" movies. Call it a character flaw :-)

There is more of the over represented hooker with heart of gold theme in this movie- but who cares?

Aha. Have you seen "True Romance"? Sort of the same theme but one of the more interesting movies of all time. Really very good.
