Lizze, The truth is not all that hard to find if you care to make an effort and it doesn't bump into your bias. Message 19013731 My opinion is that this is a locking/latching DB-OS problem, just because I've seen these issues before and thats what it seems like. Msft products are weak in this area. If you are correct in your opinion about the problem then it seems some other products are weak. Maybe it's the MySQL/Windoze causing the problem? Tom
