Yes, with 'a' eventually becoming less important except for some special situations.

No Suncor presently and haven't looked in long time, but don't forget there are also other plays with exposure to the sands. Suncor will be a good choice for LT as it is already known and hyped (LOL) on CNBC.. You can look at Husky Oil, Petro-Canada etc... big safe names...

Is oil sands for real (economically) in our lifetime? I look at it a very LT hold, something that my kids will be thinking 'man was dad smart'. It's also an 'insurance' issue against geopolitical instability. Come to think of it imagine a 'whole life' insurance policy where you buy in very young, at the point where it really is a good deal. We are now past the 'dreaming' stage with tar sands.

A lottery ticket on tar sands is GNO.V pointed out to me by F. Pembleton on SDII ages ago now. I've had to trade it a few times but always keep a few K in the kitty.

regards
Kastel
