Got a response back already from Symantec verifying that Backdoor.Lolok.B was a false positive. Restored the quarantined file, rebooted and Word is working again. Sheesh. It's been a long weekend sweating this thing out. Next time I get a virus indication from NAV the first thing I am going to do is submit it to Symantec. The problems could have been worse but I have spent a bunch of time rebuilding my mIRC setup and still not done. Into every life a little rain must fall! Hehe. One more time, thanks again for all the help to you and to Dennis Murphy.
