Agreed.

How long ago was it when we remembered that the USA had both an overwhelming trade deficit AND lower interest rates, yet it still continued to trade higher and higher, defying all rationality? (e.g. from 9/11 to the beginning of 2002). And how much can the Euro continue to defy rationality on the side of US dollar weakness, e.g. the Euro will probably continue to rise when the US finally has a trade surplus (heaven forbid!) and higher interest rates..
