Why dont you spend a few years there, and then see if your Hindu/Muslim slant is valid ?

Living in a place, in itself, does not provide sufficient basis to form an opinion. I spent a number of years in Manila, very near a neighborhood with a large concentration of Muslims. They got along quite well with their Christian neighbors. If I'd decided on the basis of that observation that there was no real problem between Muslims and Christians in the Philippines, that decision would not have been very useful, since it would not take into account the situation in other parts of the country.

If you are so convinced that local knowledge is superior, why don't you ask some Gujarat Muslims what they think of the situation?
