when the US has a black/female President, I will consider parity has been reached. When a State government in the US, ideologically sympathetic to the central government, incites riots in which hundreds of members of a minority group are murdered, robbed, and raped, and gets away with it, I will say parity has been reached. I hope it never happens. Those riots happened. Gujarat politicians, allies of the central government, openly incited them and openly tried to justify them. They are still in power, and there has been no effort to bring them to justice. That means there's a real problem. Wake up and recognize it.
