Any special grounds for saying that?

Yeah. Pollack became a "Expert" stud for CNN during the liberation, and he was all over the TV. He was as Neocon as anybody by the time the war started, and had a ball. If he doesn't slip, I expect big things from him in the future.

That would be a national disaster.

I agree. But I think the 04 election is going to end up, not only with the reelection of Bush, but with a 10 seat or better increase in Congress for the Repubs, and, more important, a 10 seat increase in the Senate. This will give the Repubs a lock on the Senate, and they will be able to pass anything they want.

We will then get down to an internal war within the Republicans between the Libertarian and the Social Conservatives on social issues. This will make the Democrats the swing vote for the Libertarian conservatives.

That's IMO, of course. Ken will rule, and I will obey

You are not around enough to pick up on it, but Ken has left the building. He went on vacation and did not appoint a "Bruce Almighty" in his absence.
